Context
A transport company running its fleet — vehicles, drivers, trips and maintenance — across spreadsheets and messages, with no single place to look up the state of a truck.
Problem
Basic questions took a round of phone calls: who drove this vehicle last, which trips it ran, when it was last serviced. Maintenance was reactive because nothing tracked service intervals, and records drifted apart as different people updated different copies.
Solution
Designed the schema around vehicles, drivers, trips and maintenance records as first-class entities with explicit relationships, so every event attaches to the vehicle it belongs to. Built the management screens with Livewire — filterable listings, record management and role-based access — keeping the whole thing server-rendered with no separate frontend to maintain.
Impact
The fleet moved to a single system of record: one page per vehicle carrying its full trip and service history. TODO: add your real numbers — for example fleet size under management, or how much time the team used to spend reconciling records.
